Billing

How Luria's free allowance works, what an attributed conversion is, what happens when you reach the limit, and how to manage your plan.

plain textupdated 2026-08-19

Luria is free until it has earned you something. Your first 5 attributed conversions cost nothing. After that you pick a plan. This page covers what counts, when you'll hear from us, and how to change or cancel.

How billing works

  • Free allowance: your first 5 attributed conversions.
  • Then paid: a monthly plan, billed to the card on file at luriart.com/app under Settings > Billing.
  • Never on your Shopify bill. Luria is not installed from the Shopify App Store and does not use Shopify billing. Nothing from Luria appears on your Shopify invoice.

You add a card when you pick a plan, not at install. Nothing is charged during the free allowance.

What "attributed conversion" means

An attributed conversion is a purchase (or goal completion, if your goal is leads or sign-ups) by a visitor who was served a Luria variant during that visit.

What does not count:

  • Conversions by visitors who only saw your original page. Luria holds back a share of traffic on the original to measure against; those conversions are yours, not Luria's.
  • Conversions before Luria's first variant went live (the Baseline stage).
  • Orders that are fully refunded or cancelled.
  • Test orders you place yourself, as long as they're flagged as test orders in Shopify or use Stripe test mode.

The count you're billed on is visible at all times under Settings > Billing > Usage, alongside the conversions that didn't count and why.

Attributed is not the same as lift

Attributed conversions count every conversion that happened after a variant was shown. Lift is the smaller number: how many more conversions happened than would have on the original. Billing uses the first; your results page uses the second. See Lift and confidence.

When you'll hear from us

You won't be surprised at the limit. Luria emails the account owner:

  • At conversion 4: "one left on the free allowance," with a link to pick a plan.
  • At conversion 5: "you've used the free allowance," with the same link.

Admins see a banner in the dashboard at the same points.

What happens at the limit

If you reach 5 attributed conversions without a plan:

  • Luria keeps measuring. The snippet or app stays installed, sessions and conversions keep being recorded, training continues to learn from your traffic.
  • Luria stops serving variants. Every visitor sees your original page. Nothing breaks; your site behaves as if Luria weren't there.
  • Your results and history stay. Pick a plan any time and serving resumes within a few minutes, picking up where it left off.

Nothing is charged, and there's no deadline to decide.

Plans

Plans are priced by monthly traffic, so a store doing 2,000 sessions a month pays less than one doing 200,000. The current tiers and prices are on Settings > Billing > Plans in the dashboard and on luriart.com; we keep them there rather than here so they're never out of date.

Roughly:

PlanFitsNotes
StarterUp to ~10,000 sessions a monthAll features, one site
GrowthUp to ~50,000 sessions a monthAdds ad-level pages at higher volume, priority support
ScaleAbove that, or multiple sitesCustom pricing, talk to us

If your traffic goes above your tier for a month, Luria tells you and suggests the next tier; it doesn't cut you off mid-month.

Upgrades, downgrades, invoices

  • Upgrade: Settings > Billing > Plans > pick the tier. Takes effect immediately, prorated for the rest of the month.
  • Downgrade: same place; takes effect at the next renewal.
  • Invoices: Settings > Billing > Invoices lists every charge with a PDF. Add your company name and VAT or tax ID under Billing details and it appears on future invoices.
  • Change card: Settings > Billing > Payment method.
  • Failed payment: we retry for several days and email the owner each time. If it still fails, Luria goes back to measuring-only mode, exactly as at the free limit, until the card is fixed.

Cancelling

Cancel from Settings > Billing > Cancel plan. Your plan runs to the end of the paid period, then Luria drops back to measuring-only mode. Your account, data, and history are kept so you can come back.

If you want Luria fully removed from your site, not just unbilled, follow Uninstall. Cancelling the plan and uninstalling are separate steps; doing one doesn't do the other.
