# Uninstall Luria Source: https://docs.luriart.com/reference/uninstall Plain text: https://docs.luriart.com/reference/uninstall.txt How to remove Luria from Shopify or a snippet install, what happens to your lift, data, and billing, and when pausing is the better choice. You can remove Luria in under a minute. Before you do, read "Pause or uninstall?" below; pausing is usually what people actually want. ## Pause or uninstall? | | Pause | Uninstall | | --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------- | | Changes on your site stop | Yes, within about 60 seconds | Yes, within about 60 seconds | | Your Brand Brain and test history | Kept | Kept for a grace period, then deleted on request | | Resume later | One click, learning picks up where it left off | Reinstall from scratch | | Billing | Paused conversions are not billed | Subscription cancelled | Pause from the dashboard: Settings > Pause Luria. See [Billing](/dashboard/billing) for how pausing affects your plan. ## What you lose when Luria is removed Be clear on this one: the winning versions of your pages are served by Luria. When Luria is gone, your site goes back to its original copy, and the lift goes with it. Your winners stay visible in your dashboard history, so you can copy the winning text and styling into your theme or page builder by hand before you remove Luria. Do that first. ## Uninstall on Shopify 1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels. 2. Find Luria, click it, and choose Uninstall. 3. The Luria app embed is removed with the app. You do not need to touch the theme editor. Changes stop within about 60 seconds. If you only want to stop serving but keep the app installed, switch the embed off instead: Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds > Luria > off > Save. Your Shopify access token is revoked by Shopify at uninstall. Shopify also sends Luria a shop-redact notice 48 hours after uninstall, and store data is deleted on that signal. ## Uninstall a snippet install Remove the Luria tag from your site's `
`: ```html ``` Where it lives depends on how you installed it: your platform's custom-code or header-injection setting, your theme header file, or a Google Tag Manager tag (pause or delete the tag, then publish the container). Changes stop within about 60 seconds of the tag disappearing. Visitors with the old page cached see the original copy on their next load. ## Billing Uninstalling does not automatically cancel a paid plan. Cancel from [Billing](/dashboard/billing) so you are not charged again. Attributed conversions up to the moment of cancellation are billed as normal. ## Delete your data Removing Luria stops collection; it does not by itself erase what was collected. To delete everything: * From your account, request site data deletion , or email [privacy@luriart.com](mailto:privacy@luriart.com) with your Site ID. * Every visitor-level record for the site is permanently removed. Your change history (what was changed and when, no visitor data) is kept for audit. * To delete your whole account, say so in the same email. Account records are otherwise kept up to 24 months after cancellation. ## Next steps - [Billing](/dashboard/billing) - [Data and privacy](/reference/data-and-privacy) - [Contact support](/troubleshooting/contact-support)
