# TikTok Ads Source: https://docs.luriart.com/connect/tiktok-ads Plain text: https://docs.luriart.com/connect/tiktok-ads.txt Give TikTok traffic its own optimization stream and ad-group pages using URL parameters, no TikTok permissions needed. TikTok visitors are different from everyone else who lands on your store. They arrive mid-scroll, mostly on a phone, often from a creative that made a very specific promise. Luria learns what that audience responds to on its own, separate from Meta, Google, and email. It only needs the URL your ad points to. ## What you get * **Per-source optimization** for TikTok as its own stream. See [Traffic sources](/optimize/traffic-sources). * **Per-campaign and per-ad-group pages** once a campaign sends enough traffic. See [Ad-level pages](/optimize/ad-level-pages). * **Automatic ttclid capture.** TikTok appends a click ID (`ttclid`) to ad clicks. Luria stores it with the session, so paid TikTok traffic is recognized even before you add parameters. * **Spend next to lift (optional)** if you connect your ad account. ## Zero-permission setup: URL parameters ### Step 1: Copy your parameters from Luria In the Luria dashboard, open Connect > TikTok Ads and copy the parameter string. It looks like this: ```text utm_source=tiktok&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=__CAMPAIGN_NAME__&utm_content=__AID_NAME__&utm_term=__CID__&luria_src=tiktok ``` The double-underscore tokens are TikTok's dynamic macros. TikTok replaces them with the real campaign, ad group, and creative values when the ad is served. ### Step 2: Add them to your ad URL In TikTok Ads Manager, edit the ad. In the **Destination** (or **URL**) field, append the string after a `?` (or after `&` if the URL already has parameters). TikTok also offers a **URL parameters** field on some ad formats; either place works. TikTok should show up as a source within a few minutes. **Note:** Spark Ads that send traffic to your site use the same URL field, so the same parameters apply. Traffic that converts inside TikTok Shop never reaches your site, so Luria does not see it and does not count it. ## Optional: connect your TikTok ad account Connecting adds spend and results per campaign to the dashboard, so you can see cost next to lift. It is read-only. Dashboard > Connect > TikTok Ads > **Connect account**, sign in with TikTok for Business, pick the ad account. Luria never edits ads, budgets, or targeting. Disconnect from the same screen whenever you like; optimization keeps running from the URL. ## What Luria does not touch * Your TikTok Pixel and Events API keep firing exactly as they do now. * TikTok's attribution and its reported conversions are unchanged. Luria does not send TikTok anything. * Third-party attribution tools (Hyros, Triple Whale, Northbeam) are unaffected; Luria reads only its own events. ## Good to know * TikTok traffic is overwhelmingly mobile. Luria's variants for the TikTok stream are tested on the devices that actually arrive, so don't be surprised if the TikTok version of a page looks different from the desktop-heavy Google version. * Creative churn is high on TikTok. Because Luria keys ad-level pages to the IDs in your parameters, a new creative under the same ad group inherits the ad group's learning rather than starting over. * Campaigns sending only a trickle are optimized as part of the TikTok stream until they send roughly a few hundred sessions a month. ## Next steps - [Ad-level pages](/optimize/ad-level-pages) - [Traffic sources](/optimize/traffic-sources) - [Meta Ads](/connect/meta-ads) - [Reading your results](/dashboard/reading-results)
